9/10/11 the pictures

Here are some of my favorite pictures from Nathan & Melissa’s wedding at Ruby Hill in Pleasanton.  Their timeline allowed for several small photo sessions throughout the day, which gave us a fantastic variety of photos.  So, instead of posting our usual 3-4 pics per event, I’m posted a few extra from our full 11 hour day.  Enjoy!

I always like a little adventure wedding and nothing better than a sunset cruise out on the water of the City by the Bay.  Commodore Events out of Alameda provided their biggest and nicest ship for the occasion as we set sail to the open water.  The crowd was electric all night thanks in part to an open bar, great music, and good food.  Fara & Kourosh were a very nice couple and did their best to make sure we got everything we needed for their video.  We had to improvise a location for them to do photos off the boat so we thought why not do it next to a boat and the water off the pier where the USS Hornet is located a few blocks from their departure spot in Alameda. The couple also requested the we use the vows and the reading from the Captain in the SDE which is a request we sometimes get and are happy to do it when we can. Enjoy!

It has really been a very busy couple weeks for a total of 13 weddings in the last 14 days (that may be a record???) We also got 9/10/11 done which is the most popular date of the year. We could have booked this probably 50 times if we had the staff for it but I digress.

We started with a Fusion package on Thursday 9/8 for Jennifer & Craig in Carmel Valley at the Stone Pine Estate Chateau Noel. It was a beautiful property that was actually bigger than we could possibly see in one day. The house was built in 1924 and featured gorgeous large rooms for everyone and a huge back lawn where the ceremony took place leading to the reception on the back patio. It was a great day for an outdoor wedding in the high 80’s in the day and low 70’s at night. Enjoy a few of our favorite pics.

On Friday we did a couple weddings. One was for Mae & Chris in Sonoma at the Depot Hotel with a lovely pool side wedding ceremony and reception. Mae and Chris were both a little shy but great to work with and took direction well for some great footage. The other wedding was for Kris & Marc, which was a referral from our good friend Angela Allen, who’s wedding we did a couple years ago and now is a wedding planner. Kris & Marc are such a cute couple and were really comfortable in front of the camera that made it really easy to let the camera roll and get great footage. They had a beautiful wedding at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton.

On Saturday 9/10/11 we did a big wedding at Ruby Hill in Pleasanton that featured us doing Photography, Videography, a Love Story Video and Same Day Edit Video combo that was partially shot day of the wedding and partially shot another time. This was for Melissa & Nathan who have become good friends over the past couple months of working with them so closely. We also had two other couples at this wedding that we had done video for in the past including Merve & Marietta which are actually featured a couple times on our main site lumitone.com The day went by so fast but the day was great and the couple was great and their friends made the day so much fun as they made jokes and played around all day.

Enjoy the Love Story & SDE concept video!

Another big weekend for the Lumitone team. We started with Vinesh and his lovely bride Natalie early Friday morning to do photo and video at the Sunol Valley Golf Course for their traditional Indian Wedding ceremony and reception complete with Bollywood style performances. Later that day we did an evening wedding for Natasha and Colby at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton that featured a great same day edit and party with a group we knew well since we did Natasha’s sister’s wedding a couple years ago as well.

On Saturday team one went with Mary & Gerald to the San Mateo Marriott with a stop at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco for a photo session. They had two traditional Chinese ceremonies in the morning with Family and tea ceremony later in the day at the hotel as well. Everything went great and the SDE was enjoyed by all!

Team two was with Tiffany and Andrew at the Silver Creek Country Club in San Jose. Despite the heat in the South Bay they were great sports in helping us capture the essence of the day and were up for anything cool to help the team. The entire day was organized really well and they were fun to work with. Enjoy the SDE!

On Sunday we circled back to Vinesh and Natalie for a traditional Catholic Wedding ceremony St Josephs in Mountain View and western reception at the Sunol Valley Golf Course. This was a much longer day that started with getting ready activities in Fremont, a trip over the bay and back and a really nice photo / video session we had with the bride and groom near sunset before the reception. The blending of the two families really seems to work for this couple and fun was had by all as they danced the night away. Enjoy a few of our favorite pics from the two days!
